Mr. Frederick Pfaeffle Arana
Fred most recently served under a White House Presidential appointment as Senior Advisor to the General Counsel at DOE. His portfolio included advising the Secretary of Energy and DOE officials on Funding Opportunity Announcements and related matters, including under IIJA, IRA, and other federal appropriations. His experience includes BABA and other legal requirements for DOE’s Loan Program Office, State Energy, Grid Deployment Office, and other programs and initiatives.
Fred also previously served as White House appointee as Principal Deputy General Counsel and Deputy Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights at USDA.

Mr. Geary Pyles
​
Geary has worked in the field of Federal acquisition and program & project management for over twenty-five years.
He was a Senior Advisor to the DOE’s Deputy Undersecretary for Infrastructure. Notably, he served as DOE’s BABA Nationwide Coordinator, led the DOE’s DBA compliance team, and provided expertise on matters relating to NEPA and Research, Economic and Technology Security. He also has experience with DOE’s Defense Programs related to Plutonium pit production.
Geary has significant experience at DOE as manager and unlimited Contracting Officer. He held similar posts with the Missile Defense Agency, Commercial Defense firms and the U.S. Air Force, of which he is a service disabled veteran.
